I WANNA BE THE VERY BEST! LIKE NO ONE EVER WAS! TO CATCH THEM IS MY REAL TEST TO TRAIN THEM IS MY CAUSE!
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! came out last week so since then I’ve been revisiting Kanto with my little buddy Pikachu and I’ve been so content and warm inside! This game although simplified, still feels like the games I grew up and it’s like a big warm hug (cringe I know)
A mix of old and new
Combining the classic Pokémon Yellow from 1998 and features we saw in Pokémon Go such as catching style and the occasional Pokémon being either “huge” or “tiny”, there’s also a little nod to Pokémon X & Y where you could play and feed your Pokémon ‘poke puffs’ and once you get to a certain level you can play with either Pikachu or Eevee and feed them berries! It’s a lot of fun seeing their different expressions and they even give you presents, which is just so pure! You can even dress up Pikachu/Eevee and your character up in matching outfits (I KNOW!)
It’s dangerous in the tall grass without a pokemon!
Something else I have really enjoyed about this game is that y’know in the older games where you would just have to go in the wild grass completely blind and just hoping that the Pokémon that you’re after will spawn nearby? Well now in Pokémon Let’s Go the Pokémon are just freely walking around in the grass and all you have to do is walk up to them and catch them!
I really do love this game and the addition of the Poké Ball Plus has just made it even more fun. It is like I am reliving all my childhood dreams the way I did with Pokémon Go and all from the comfort of my living room!
All this talk of Pokémon has got me desperate to re-do my Serena cosplay and give her the shoot she deserves!
